We are looking for adults to help us out; this means: parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff. Our committees vary in time commitment and duties, so there should be one that fits your schedule! We are also looking for Coordinators for a few Committees. We are open to Co-Coordinators as we know your time is precious – and working together helps to spread out the responsibilities.

Volunteer Opportunities

Room Parents

Room Parents are the heart of each classroom community! They help plan class parties and celebrations, support teachers with small projects or supplies, and keep families connected throughout the year. Acting as a liaison between the classroom and the PTO, Room Parents play an important role in building community spirit and making sure every family feels included. And every teacher appreciated! Volunteer FAQ

Front desk volunteer sign in

For events like classroom parties around holidays, room parents and visitors will be directed to a signup sheet with visitor stickers. When stopping by for other volunteering opportunities inside the school you will check in at the front desk, get a badge sticker printed or use your laminated badge. Don’t forget to ensure your are tracking your volunteer hours! PTO events outside of the school you will be responsible for logging your hours.

Finding volunteer opportunities

There are many ways to Volunteer for the PTO and the school directly! One way is inside our PTO weekly emails, subscribe, we will highlight volunteer opportunities for coming events. You can also look directly in the volunteer portal to see a list of ALL volunteer opportunities.

Parking

Check out this Flagstaff Academy FAQ. Families planning to attend any Flagstaff Academy PTO event may park on Miller Drive, on Lefthand Circle, or in the Front Range parking lot. Please always refer to the school for the most current parking policies.

Reminders

DO NOT park in Flagstaff parking lots, as we typically use them for our events.
DO NOT park in any of the neighboring business parking lots.
DO NOT block any of the entrances/exits to these businesses.
DO NOT block any of the bus stop areas.

If there are any exceptions to this policy, they will be described on the Event’s page and only be valid for that event.

Volunteer Badge

We value your commitment to supporting our school and with that we try to make the check in process easy for our volunteers. If you regularly are coming into the school to volunteer you will like talk with the schools volunteer coordinator. Getting you a permanent badge to use for checking in at the front office. You will use the kiosk computer to scan your badge, which can be found in the drawer in sorted by last name in alphabetical order. Don’t forget to scan out 😉
